Lexington’s Winter Homecoming 2025-26 will be held tonight (Thursday) starting at 6 p.m. prior to the basketball games with Sulphur.
Representing basketball are Jordan Faulkenberry and Hadley Wilkins. Representing wrestling are Maddox Manuel and Hope Grove. Representing vocal are Boston Day and Arleth Cayente. Representing baseball is Colby Haynes while Brodie Anderson is representing slow-pitch.
Representing track are Axel Velasco and Mackenzie Manuel. Representing FFA are Cale Carver and Danica Bjork while Kadance Sparks is representing archery. The flower girl is Inslee Hobson and Mason Hughes is the crown bearer.
Cayente is the daughter of Fabiola and Gustavo Cayente. She has received the Seed OK 529 and made straight 1s at districts in vocal music. She was a Rodie for show choir and plans to study radiation therapy at college. Favorite quote: God is with you even on your hardest days. Isaiah 66:13.
Garver is the son of Charlie and Julie Garver. He has a brother, Jace. He is a member of the National Honor Society, principal’s honor roll all years of school. Lettered in four different sports and was an FFA officer for two years. He is in FFA, basketball, football,, golf, fishing team and attends Mid America Technology Center’s welding program. He is a member of Lexington FBC. He plans to attend OSU-OKC and earn an associates degree while attending the lineman program. Favorite quote: Be strong and courageous do not be afraid, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9.
Sparks is the daughter of Kean and Casey Allison and is NTHS, is on the honor roll and was archer of the year in 2023. She attends MATC’s advanced nursing program and plans to serve in the U.S. Navy. Favorite quote: “I may walk slowly but I never walk backwards,” Abraham Lincoln.
Anderson is the daughter of Nick and Stevie Anderson and was named All-District in 2023 as a slow-pitch utility player. In 2024 she was Offensive Player of the Year, 2024 past-pitch MVP and 2025 first team All-District at third base, 2023 slow-pitch All-Conference and newcomer of the year, 2024 Canadian Valley slow-pitch All-Conference and slow-pitch MVP. She has played tournament ball and in 2020 was Defensive Player of the Year, 2024 USA Gold National Championship and USA first team All-American. 2025 USA Gold National Championship and first team All-American. Graduated from MATC with a certificate of competency of Athletic Training Student Aide. She plans to attend Grayson College to play softball and earn an associates degree in radiology. Manuel is the son of Kevin and Jessica Manuel. He lettered in wrestling all four years, finished second at the Madill Thrill, fourth at Tuttle pre turkey and third at the Lexington Tournament. He was in the broadband class at MATC. He plans to get a job in the fiber optic field. Favorite quote: “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” Isaiah 54:17.
Haynes is the son of Curtis and Shelly Haynes. He is in the National Honor Society and the Gifted and Talented program, on the principal’s honor roll throughout high school. He lettered in football one year and baseball four years. Also, basketball one year. He plans to attend OSU-OKC and become a lineman. Favorite quote: You only live once but, if you do it right once is enough,” Mae West.
Bjork is the daughter of Charlie Bjork. She has been on the superintendent and principal honor rolls, receiving a scholarship from The University of Oklahoma. She earned All Star Award at J&C cheer camp and was a state qualifier for FFA Greenhand quiz. She is active in cheer, FCCLA, STUCO and the National Honor Society. She plans to earn a bachelors in the science of nursing at OU and work at OU Children’s Hospital. Favorite quote: May the flowers remind us why the rain was so necessary.
Velasco is the son of Jessica and Luis. He was a Regional track qualifier and a State 4 x 8 participant. He attends MATC in the automotive service program. He has been on the principal’s honor roll. He plans to attend an automotive trade school and get into the automotive industry. Favorite quote: If you want it, work for it.
Faulkenberry is the son Kayla and Stephen Faulkenberry and Selina Lefors. He lettered in basketball three years and baseball one year. He plans to go to college and major in physical therapy and hopefully play basketball, too. Favorite quote: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.
Day is the son of Richard and Lacey. He won three 1’s at state vocal, was Best solo at Hollister Show Choir Invitational, Ecocda honor choir three times, football, track, computer numerical control at MATC, show choir and theatre. He plans to go to college and open his own machine shop. Favorite quote: Time is a slippery thing; lose hold of it once, and its string might sail out of your hands forever. Grove is the daughter of Brittany and Nick Grove. She has been in the National Honor Society for three years, state qualifier for wrestling, lettered in wrestling and has been on the principal’s honor roll. She has studied advanced nursing services at MATC. She plans to pursue her nursing degree at East Central University and work as a hospice nurse. Favorite quote: The tree falls the way it leans. Be careful which way you lean. - Dr. Seuss.
Manuel is the daughter of Jessica and Kevin Manuel. She has been in NHS, All-District in softball, qualified for state in wrestling, on the principal’s honor roll in 25-26 and played on a regional champion softball team. She plans to attend McLennan Community College to play softball and earn an occupational therapy degree. Favorite quote: Psalms 56:3 When I am afraid I put my trust in you.
Wilkins is the daughter of Reese and Jamie Wilkins. She is a member of NHS, lettered in basketball and track, is in FFA (secretary 24-25) and principal’s honor roll. She has attended the medical office assistant program at MATC. She plans to get a job as a medical assistant and attend school to become a ultrasound tech. Favorite quote: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” - Mahatma Gandhi.
Hughes is the son of Kelly and Joseph Hughes. He is in Ms. Thetford’s kindergarten class and enjoys hunting with his dad, helping mom with flowers, wrestling and playing baseball. His future plans are to shoot a big buck with his dad. Favorite quote: “Avocados from Mexico.”
Hobson is the daughter of Sierra Hobbs and Braden Prewitt. She is in Mrs. George’s kindergarten class, plays T-ball and wants to go to college and become a veterinarian.
