Lexington Chamber of Commerce recently had a lamppost decoration contest downtown.
Several organizations, businesses and people adopted a post and surprised everyone with their creativity.
The theme was Hometown Spirit.
The winners were first place, Two Sisters Cleaning; second place, Lex Lil League Football and third place, Lex Lil League Cheer.
Each winner got a custom homecoming mum with their prize winning place on it.
The chamber appreciates everyone that participated. Organizers were truly blown away with the Bulldog pride.
The lamp posts will be decorated again for fall between September 26 and October 3 to have a little fun and help get the Town of Lexington looking fall ready for the upcoming Lex Fall Fest on October 16.
The theme for the fall lamp post contest is “A Lil Too Corny.”
Those participating are encouraged to use their imagination with the theme. It is free to enter.
