Thanks to a 33-10 vote in the City of Lexington Tuesday a one-half cent sales tax rate hike will go into affect December 31, 2024.

Lexington’s current tax rate is 8.63 with .13 going to the county. When the new rate goes into affect Lexington will have a 9.13 sales tax rate.
