Lexington made short work of Crooked Oak last Thursday shutting out the Lady Ruf-Nex 14-0 and 11-0 in a fitting way to celebrate Senior Night.

Lexington was red-hot in the first inning in both games.

In the opener, Lexington scored 11 times with a two run home run by Cora Vasquez, with Abby Turnpaugh aboard, getting the ball rolling.

Vasquez finished the night with three RBIs.

Kiely Givens, Maddie Dunn and Promise Houck all had two hits in the game. Givens and Houck had two RBIs apiece.

The Lady Bulldogs pounded out 10 of their 14 hits in the first inning alone. Turnpaugh, who was the winning pitcher, Leslie Barber, Jaci Idlett and Ryli Harmon all had RBI hits in the contest.

In the night cap, the Lady ‘Dawgs score eight runs with four of them coming on a grand slam to left field by Harmon. She finished with five RBIs after walking in the second frame again with the bases juiced.

Turnpaugh, who was the winning pitcher, was 1-3 with an RBI.

Izzy Pack, Maddie Manuel and Dunn all went 1-1 at the plate in the run-rule affair.

Houck and Marisa Northrup both had RBIs in the game.

A road trip to Chandler last Tuesday was a bumpy one for Lexington with the Lady Lions pinning a 4-1 loss on the Lady Bulldogs.

Vasquez, who took the loss in the circle, smashed a solo home run in the fourth inning cutting the 2-0 Chandler lead in half.

Pack went 2-4 with a double. Coach Ryan Perry also got hits from Turnpaugh and Baylie Rillema.

Monday the Lady Bulldogs hosted Pauls Valley and run-ruled the Lady Panthers, 15-1.

Vasquez was a busy girl getting the victory in the circle and going a perfect 3-3 at the plate with a double, a triple and three RBIs.

She tossed a two-hitter at the visitors.

Givens had a three run double and Turnpaugh doubled in a pair of base runners.

Harmon was 2-2 with two RBIs while Pack had a triple.

Lexington was scheduled to travel to Davis today (Thursday) to pay the Lady Wolves and Sulphur in a double header.

Lexington is 11-16 on the season.
