Last week, the Lexington Lady ‘Dawgs were in Hobart for the District tournament. They fell 13-1 in game one to Minco and 11-3 in game two to Hobart, ending their season.

They finished with a 10-10 record. Three seniors will be lost to graduation – Leslie Barber, Izzy Pack and Alexis Feuerborn.

Minco

Game one was all Minco.

Lexington got on the board with one run thanks to a ground out by Kiely Givens in the top of the first inning. But, that was all of the scoring for the Lady ‘Dawgs.

Minco put nine across the plate in the first inning. They added two more in the second and third innings to get the run-rule win.

Abby Sample had Lexington’s one hit in the game.

Hobart

Lexington’s offense picked it up in their second game, finishing with 10 hits. Givens, Alie Holler and Lexie Torres each had two hits. Holler also had two ribbies.

Hobart got on board with one run each in the second and third innings.

Lexington scored one in the bottom of the fourth to cut into the Lady Bearcats’ lead.

But, Hobart would continue to add runs – two in the fifth, two in the sixth and five in the seventh.

Lexington added two more of their own in the sixth, but that wasn’t enough as the Lady Bulldogs fell 11-3 to end their season.v
