Leslie was born March 18, 1962, in Idabel, Oklahoma to Lester C. and Betty (Dunn) Gibson. He was raised in Idabel until his teenage years, when the family relocated to Oklahoma City.

Leslie was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the First Born on September 5, 1973, by his beloved grandfather, James Dunn.

He married Cathy Carol Edwards on June 19, 1982, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. Leslie worked as a mill worker for many years, but his true passion was his garden. He was very good at growing vegetables and flowers, and was known to pray over his garden, and enjoyed sharing his harvest with his friends and family.

Leslie loved all things Clint Eastwood, as well as recording deer and other animals in his yard. God was first in his heart and life, and he enjoyed reading and studying his Bible. He loved his family, but his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Leslie is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Betty Gibson; his grandparents, James and Mandy Dunn; and his two brothers, David Gibson and Danny Gibson.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Gibson of Lexington; his son, Christopher Gibson of Lexington; his daughter, Summer Holman and husband, Matthew, of Oklahoma City; his grandsons, Anthony Holman and Zach Holman; his sister, Janice Dunn of Idabel; and numerous other relatives and friends.
