Funeral services for Lawana “Granny” Bebout, 87, of Purcell were held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mrs. Bebout passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022.

Lawana Fern Dillard was born July 7, 1934 in Alex, Okla., the oldest of three children born to Dank Edward Dillard and Jessie Violet (Taylor) Dillard. She was raised west of Purcell on the old rural route # 2, and graduated from Wayne High School with the Bulldog Class of 1953.

Lawana married lifelong friend and sweetheart, Boyd Bebout, and together they raised four children, sons, Jeff and Steven, and daughters, Debbie and Cindy.  When the kids were young, Lawana stayed busy at home raising them. She worked some at Ruby’s and later at Mid-America Vo-Tech.

Lawana’s greatest joy was her family, and she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed tending to her yard, and looked forward to family get-togethers. She was a wonderful mother, the best granny and great-granny, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Bebout; her husband, Boyd Bebout; parents, Dank and Jessie Dillard and brother, Gary Don Dillard.

Lawana is survived by her son, Steven Bebout and wife, Jennifer, of Purcell; daughters, Debbie Greene and husband, Paul, of Purcell and Cindy Horn of Purcell;  sister, Fenita Cobb of Purcell; grandchildren, John Bebout and Ellen, Amanda Nelson and Garrett, Amber Keely and Zach, Jaclyn Farquhar and Drew, Blake Greene, Tyler Greene, Brandy Harris and Zack, Dillon Duke and Wendy, Ashley Clement and Jonathan, Lacey Bebout, Blair Bebout, Lindsey Hooten and Xavier and Ashley Wise; great-grandchildren, Clare Bebout, Wyatt Mills, Lucas Jones, Mandolin Keely, Jack Farquhar, Oliver Greene, Kyan Davis, Kagan Davis, Gracie Harris, Bodee Duke, Stoney Duke, Jackson Clement, Emberly Clement, Caylee Bebout and Amara Hooten, Nyah Hooten and Zuri Hooten and a host of other family and friends.
