Students, government workers and many in the private sector will observe what Americans consider summer’s last hurrah with a three-day weekend to celebrate Labor Day.
Closed on Monday will be city offices in Purcell, Lexington, Goldsby, Washington and Wayne.
In addition, the McClain County Courthouse will be closed along with federal and state offices.
There will be no mail delivery on Monday and the Post Office will be closed.
School closings include Purcell, Lexington, Washington, Wayne and Mid-America Technology Center.
Other area closings are McClain Bank, First United Bank, Pioneer Library and The Purcell Register.
