Kenneth Ray Herron, 79, of Moore, Okla., passed away Wednesday March 11, 2026. Born April 1, 1946 in Mountain Valley, Ark., he was the fourth of five children born to Willard Wesley Herron and Lela Pearl (Masner) Herron. He was raised primarily in Madera, Calif.
He answered the call in service to his country and served in the United States Army in Vietnam.
By chance, he met a young lady named Joyce Beth Stidham. They fell in love and were married on January 3, 1971 in Purcell.
Kenneth worked as a sheet metal mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base, before being medically retired for a back injury. Away from work, he enjoyed being outdoors, family lake trips and especially just being in the water. And whether it be swimming or scuba diving, he was in his natural element. Kenneth cheered for the OU Sooners, mainly because it was Beth’s favorite team, and he cherished his fur babies, Ellie and Max.
Kenneth’s greatest joy was his family. He cherished his girls, Beth and Andi, and especially his grandchildren, Parker and Shelby and greats, Louise and Greta. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Lela Herron; sister, Joyce Louise Copas; brother, Bill Herron and brother-in-law, James Mooneyham.
Kenneth is survived by wife, Beth Herron of the home; daughter, Andrea Millsap and husband, Tim, of Purcell; sister, Lucille Mooneyham of Norman; brother, Jerry Herron and wife, Carol, of Noble; his pride and joy, grandchildren, Parker Millsap and wife, Meg Morgan, of Nashville, Tenn., and Shelby Millsap and husband, Arron Haymes, of Purcell; great-granddaughters, Louise and Greta and a host of other family and friends.
Viewing will be Monday, March 16, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.
