Juneteenth closings

Juneteenth may be a latecomer among federal holidays, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty of folks enjoying a 3-day weekend with Monday’s observance.

Federal offices, including the Post Office, will be closed. There will be no mail delivery on Monday.

Also closed will be Mid-America Technology Center, the McClain County Courthouse and city offices in Purcell, Goldsby and Wayne.

Both McClain Bank and First United Bank will be closed.

Also closed will be Purcell Public Library.

The state is skipping the observance this year, as is Lexington City Hall.
