Graveside services for Jimmie Bean, 91, of Maysville were held December 22, 2020 at the Maysville Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mrs. Bean passed away Friday, December 18, 2020.

Jimaleen Lambert was born April 17, 1929 in Ninnekah, Okla., the 15th of 17 children born to Ed and Ethel Lambert.   Jimmie learned the value of hard work, growing up on a farm crew, and they traveled all over West Texas and Louisiana following work.

Jimmie married Sidney James Bean on March 27, 1948  in Chickasha, Okla., and together they raised two children, son Bobby and daughter Nancy. Jimmie’s greatest joy was her family, and she was never happier than the day she became a grandmother, and eventually, great-grandmother.

She was an excellent seamstress, and she shared her talents, making clothes and toys for her family and friends. In the 1970s Jimmie and Sidney purchased an acreage near Maysville, which remains in the family today. She loved her life on the farm, and looked forward to planting huge gardens every year. She was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and a true friend.  She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Bean; husband, Sidney Bean; parents, Ed and Ethel Lambert and siblings, Reba Perry, Retha Watkins, Abbie Patton, Atha Lambert, Merl Lambert, Merritt Lambert, Harmon Lambert, Elsie Burdette, Louis Lambert, Lois Brown, Lloyd Lambert, Roy Lambert, Troy Lambert, Violet Ruth Lambert, Twhanna Elkins, and Samuel Lambert.

Jimmie is survived by her son, Bobby Bean and wife, Belinda, of Newcastle; three grandchildren, David Bean and wife, Tracy,  of Newcastle, Sarah Carlton and husband, Bryan, of Newcastle and Lacy Dawn Chapman of Watonga; three great-grandchildren, Sydney Ann Bean, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Bean and Bailey Marie Carlton; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
