A Celebration of the Life of Jeanette Carol Anderson, 69, of Sulphur was held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mrs. Anderson passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at OU Medical Center.
Jeanette was born October 5, 1953 in Lindsay, Okla., the younger of two children born to Otis Winford Anderson and Mary Naomi (Dunn) Anderson. She was raised in Purcell and attended school there, graduating with the Dragon Class of 1971. Jeanette married young to Randy Idleman and together they raised two daughters, Tammie and Angie.
Jeanette attended cosmetology school and studied to be a hair stylist. She worked at Natural Look Salon in Purcell for more than 25 years, and she loved the relationships built with her clients throughout the years.
Deciding it was time for a career change, Jeanette began working for the Xerox Corporation, and retired as a print operator in 2016. When she wasn’t working, Jeanette enjoyed her fur babies, painting and casino trips. She frequented garage sales and never missed an opportunity to go fishing.
Her grandchildren were her world, and she attended many ballgames and activities in support of them. She was quick witted, loved a good laugh and lived for every day. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Anderson and Naomi Anderson Flemming.
Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Tammie Fertic and husband, Kevin, of Newcastle, Okla., and Angie Pickle and husband, Travis, of Moore, Okla.; her sister, LaVerne Trotter of Midwest City; three grandchildren, Logan Fertic and wife, Courtney, of Tuttle, Emily White and husband, Nick, of Newcastle and Sara Broome of Moore; one great-granddaughter, Carter Elizabeth White; long-time companion, Chris Dodson and a host of other family and friends.
