James Benjamin Flournoy, Jr.

James Benjamin Flournoy, Jr. passed April 5, 2021. He was born Jan. 12, 1955 in Purcell, Oklahoma to J.B. Flournoy, Sr. and Dixie Miller Flournoy. James lived briefly in Louisiana, Texas, and Colorado; however, he lived the majority of his life in Oklahoma. He was a cowboy at heart, welder by trade, a jack-of-all-trades, a 32nd degree Mason, and Baptist.

James was preceded in death by both parents.

He is survived by his daughters, Misty Hendley and Tiffany Flournoy and their children; brothers, Ray Miller and wife, Dorothy, of Maysville, Arthur Miller and wife, Judy, of Wayne, and Joe Dodd of Sulphur; sisters, Patricia Pepper of Yukon, Anna Sue Dickinson Hodge and husband, David, of El Dorado, Ark., and Jimmie Kay Harris and husband, Roger, of Edmond; nephews, Robin Miller of California, Mike Miller and wife, Sherri, of Norman, and Joshua Chase Alan Harris of Baltimore, Md. James is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews. He left behind many loving cousins in Oklahoma and Texas.

He had a host of Mason Brothers and friends that shared his interests from his faith to treasure hunting, everything western, hunting, fishing, and the beauty and peace of the great outdoors.

There will be a Memorial/Family Visitation Service at 2 p.m. Saturday May 22, 2021 at the Hopping Cemetery located east of Wayne. Please bring your lawn chairs and a story to share about James and visit with the family after the service.
