Funeral Services for Jackie Vaughn, 80, were held Monday, February 16, 2026 at Goldsby Church. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
Mr. Vaughn passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2026.
Jackie Dale Vaughn was born on June 10, 1945 in Purcell, Oklahoma. The youngest of five children born to Silas Vaughn and Margie May Holland Vaughn, Jackie was raised in the Woody Chapel area, attended Washington Public Schools and graduated with the Warrior class of 1963.
While in high school he caught the eye of a young lady named Carolyn Gail Keeler. The two quickly fell in love and were married on June 21, 1963 in Washington, Oklahoma. Their love story is built on countless memories, laughs, and lots of memories to last a lifetime. Together Jackie and Carolyn cherished and raised their four beautiful children, Pam, Mark, Mike and Kim.
Jackie was truly a jack of all trades throughout his life. He spent many years as a dedicated dairy farmer and cattle farmer working tirelessly and taking great pride in the land and animals, he cared for. When his kids were young, he enjoyed going to the lake, coaching his kids in little league, listening and singing to good music. He also served on the Washington School Board for a number of years.
Jackie enjoyed going to the Goldsby Store in the morning, drinking coffee and solving the world ‘s problems with his friends. Jackie was extremely caring, patient, hard-working, genuine and loving. He truly had the biggest heart and the kindest smile.
More than anything, Jackie was a family man. He truly cherished every moment spent with them, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jackie was truly rich in life because of the love he shared, the memories he made, and the people he surrounded himself with. He was a one-of-a-kind man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Margie Vaughn; brothers Bill, Gene and Curt Vaughn; sister, Mary Sue Price; granddaughter, Krissa Roberts and son-in-law, Harold Beller.
Jackie is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Vaughn of the home; sons, Mark Vaughn and wife, Ashli, of Washington and Mike Vaughn and wife, Pam, of Purcell; daughters, Pam Beller of Washington and Kim Ellis and husband, Toby, of Wayne; 11 grandchildren and their spouses; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
