Auditions will be held for Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of Aladdin Monday, March 20, at 3:30 p.m. and end by 5:30 p.m.

Aladdin will be presented from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, March 24, and Saturday, March 25, from 3-4 p.m. at the old Purcell Junior High Auditorium, 201 Lester Lane.

Students enrolled in grades kindergarden through 12th grade are invited to audition.

Students from surrounding schools may audition for a fee of $25 which is refundable if the student is not cast.

Join your friends at the Purcell Public Library for “Let’s Get Gardening: Raised Bed Gardening” Saturday, March 4 from 1-2 p.m.

Gardens come in all shapes and sizes. Grow your knowledge and love of gardening through discussion and demonstration with a McClain County OSU Extension Educator.

In this program, we will learn how you can grow your own garden in a raised bed and how it can benefit your health. Discover new strategies and perspectives in growing a garden while also meeting fellow plant lovers. Whether you are just getting started or an expert gardener, there is something for you. The program is for adults 18+ and registration is required.

Join in on “Information Investigation: Genealogy Help” a program sponsored by the Pioneer Library System.

The program will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the McClain County Museum, 203 W. Washington St., in Purcell.

Our world is full of information. Learn how to find and identify credible information on genealogy. The program is designed for adults.

Learn the skills and tools needed to become an information investigator. Practice evaluating information and checking the credibility of your sources in this program on genealogy.

Gary Goodfriend of Austin/Round Rock, Texas, and cousin to Suzanne Krapf Wells of Purcell, arrived Friday night to visit the family and celebrate the fourth birthday of Blakeley Bell.

Friday evening a surprise party was held at Jo’s Pizza for Gary, in honor of his visit.

Blakely Bell’s birthday celebration was held Saturday in Norman. Many of Blakeley’s  friends attended and everyone had a good time.

Sunday Gary was invited with other friends and family members to a breakfast in Norman before returning to Texas later in the day.

Partygoers included the honorees parents and grandparents, Josiah, Alison Wells’ friend,  Blakeley’s cousin Gary, Adam Wells and his friend, Kimmie, Connie Wells along with Honey Wells and Duke and Zoey Wells.

The joint birthday celebration was held for Suzanne, Blakeley and Kimmie, whose birthdays were all within a few days of each other.

Unable to attend were Dixie Bell and another Krapf family member, Paul Hampton.

Gary looks forward to returning for a short visit around the date of the birth of Ms. Bells’ baby around mid-March.

Suzanne Wells toured the city with her cousin to show him the new developments and population growth in the city.

Daylight Saving Time is March 12! Time to spring forward.

Mark your calendar now and don’t forget to turn your clocks forward one hour when you go to bed Saturday night, March 11.

This is so good and doesn’t take a long time to prepare.

Crockpot White Chicken Chili

1 lb. chicken breast

1 white onion, diced

2 cans White Northern Beans

1 can whole kernel corn

10 oz. can Rotel

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. cumin

1 tsp. chili powder

1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

32 oz. container of chicken broth

8 oz. block of cream cheese

1/4 cup half & half or heavy cream

In a bowl combine salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and stir.

Place chicken breasts into the bottom of your slow cooker.Sprinkle seasonings over the chicken

Drain the beans and corn. Top with onion, drained beans, drained corn and Rotel.

Add the entire container of chicken broth to the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until chicken is fork tender.

Remove chicken and shred with forks. Return chicken to slow cooker. Add in cream cheese and half & half. Cook another 15 minutes on high and serve with your favorite toppings!
