The Purcell Register will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Emily Montgomery shared this recipe with me.
Shredded Barbecue
3 lb. chuck roast
1 bottle Kraft Sweet and Spicy Chipotle Barbecue sauce
1 bottle beer
Salt and pepper
1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Barbecue sauce
Salt and pepper all sides of roast and put in crock pot. Cover with sweet and spicy barbecue sauce. Pour beer over and on sides of roast.
Cover and cook on high 7 hours.
Take out of crock pot and shred beef, discarding liquid. Put back in crock pot and pour honey barbecue sauce over beef.
Cook 1-2 more hours on low, or until ready to serve.
