Designed primarily for children and teens, the challenge aims to keep students engaged throughout the summer, helping them return to school in the fall ready to learn—without the setback of summer learning loss.

Participants can earn points in multiple ways, including reading, attending library events, completing activities through the SLC platform, and more.

All ages are encouraged to take part in the challenge—whether for their own enrichment or to help reach the community goal.

My grandkids love this!

Monkey Bread

1 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

3 8-count cans refrigerated biscuit dough

1 cup unsalted butter

1⁄2 cup packed light brown sugar

Preheat the oven to 350°. Generously grease a 9- or 10-inch Bundt pan and set aside.

Combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a large, resealable bag. Shake until well mixed and set aside.

Open the biscuit cans, separate them, and cut them into quarters. Drop half into the cinnamon sugar, toss until well coated, then transfer to the bundt pan. Repeat with the remaining biscuits.

Mix the melted butter and brown sugar in a medium bowl and pour evenly over the biscuit pieces.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the biscuits are cooked through.

Remove the pan from the oven and let the monkey bread cool for 10 minutes. Then, carefully invert the pan onto a serving plate.
