Purcell’s Independence Day Celebration is this Friday, June 27, at the Purcell City Lake.

The celebration will include food trucks, games, a car show and the fireworks show.

The Purcell Public Library will present “Spaghetti Eddie Concert, Interactive Music and Movement” Tuesday, July 8, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Purcell Multi-Purpose Center, 1400 Chandler Road.

Spaghetti Eddie is a brilliant star in the children’s music scene. Catchy songs with great sing-along potential are what Brendan Parker, singer, and guitarist, and Erick Alexander, drummer-vocalist, are loved for.

The songs will have you moving, learning, singing, and most importantly, having fun!

The program is designed for children through age 11 and registration is required.

This program is a part of the Summer Learning Challenge. Earn prizes, collect badges, and help our community reach 18 million minutes of learning by joining the Summer Learning Challenge today!

The Purcell Public Library will present “Kick-Start Kindergarten” Thursday, July 10, from 10-11 a.m. in the meeting room of the library.

Launch into learning and prepare for kindergarten! Discover activities and tips to boost the skills needed to thrive in school.

The program is designed for ages 4-5 and registration is required.

This the best dip ever and so easy to make!

Crack Dip

16 oz. sour cream

16 oz. mayo

16 oz. ranch dressing (from a bottle)

1 jar real bacon bits

1 pkg. shredded parmesan cheese

1 bundle green onions

Mix all together and refrigerate overnight.
