Mark your calendars now for Purcell’s Art Walk on September 20. Hopefully it will be a little cooler than it was last Friday!
Beyond art, there is live music and food trucks and visitors will find a host of vendors set up along Main Street selling jewelry, vintage clothing and more.
Art Walk lasts from 6 to 9 p.m. and is the third Friday of every month through October.

With football season right around the corner, it’s time to start gathering good football game snack food for your get-togethers.
Creamy Taco Dip
1 lb. ground beef
1-oz. package taco seasoning
10-oz. can diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained
8-oz. package cream cheese, cut into cubes
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until crumbled and no longer pink. Drain.
Combine beef, taco seasoning, Rotel and cream cheese in a slow cooker. Stir until cheese melts.
Serve warm with tortilla chips.
