Traveling southbound on I-35 from Purcell to Ardmore was congested Wednesday and will be for much of the month of March.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) said off-ramps on I-35 from mile marker 95, (Green Avenue in Purcell) to mile marker 70 (US 70) in Ardmore, were to be closed and southbound traffic will limited to one lane, not only all day Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but daily until March 22.
Crews will be working in segments and have two ramps closed at a time using the following schedule:
“Drivers should use extra caution in these areas, expect additional delays during work and plan spring break travel accordingly,” ODOT officials said in a news release.
