The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is reporting no additional details have surfaced in a homicide investigation from the July 7 vehicle fire that burned south of Dibble.

First responders were called to a residence with a Lindsay address just after 1 p.m. that Tuesday afternoon.

They found a vehicle on fire and quickly doused the blaze.

They discovered an adult male inside the vehicle and sent the remains to the State Medical’s Examiner’s Office.

McClain County Sheriff Landy Offolter said investigators found a bullet in the deceased individual and are classifying it as a homicide.

McClain County dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call regarding a possible vehicle explosion near 194th Street and Wooten Way in Lindsay.

The cause of the vehicle fire and circumstances surrounding the victim’s death remain under investigation.

Anyone with additional information regarding this case is asked to contact the OSBI tip line at tips@osbi.ok.gov or 1-800-522-8017.

The OSBI appreciates the McClain County Sheriff's Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for their continued assistance with this investigation.
