An Oklahoma City woman who said she took shelter from the cold in a Lindsay home while the owner was hospitalized allegedly burglarized the residence.
Stacy Driver, 47, is charged in McClain County District Court with second degree burglary.
Her preliminary hearing conference will be at 9 a.m. Friday.
According to an affidavit, a McClain County Sheriff’s detective went to the area of 190th Street and State Highway 76 in Lindsay to investigate a reported burglary.
The owner said they found a woman identified as Driver inside their home when they returned to the residence.
She knocked on the door of the house and when no one answered, let herself in, according to the affidavit.
She denied taking anything.
The homeowner said he found items belonging to him in bags.
