Purcell Junior Ryan Maynard has been selected by State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister to serve on her Student Advisory Council (SAC).
Maynard is the son of Than and Sally Maynard.
Hofmeister’s inaugural class of the SAC was in 2016 so Maynard is in the fourth class of the prestigious group.
The first of two meetings in the Spring Semester will be January 29 at the State Capitol.
“No one is closer to students than students themselves,” Hofmeister said in her letter to Maynard.
“I am so proud of your varied accomplishments and am eager to hear your voice and perspective as we discuss topics relevant to not only our youth but also our State,” Hofmeister wrote.
“Your leadership and willingness to serve is of great value to your school, community and state,” Mrs. Hofmeister said.
“I look forward to watching you reach your goals in the future, and I hope you will continue to serve Oklahoma with your distinguished leadership,” she concluded.
