Purcell Schools has the help wanted sign out after Monday’s regular monthly meeting at the Administration Building.
The board accepted the resignation of high school principal Jason Sanders, effective June 30. Junior high principal Carol Testa is retiring.
Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo reports the positions have been posted and a search committee will be formed.
Also coming out of the executive session, the board voted to rehire Dr. McAdoo for the 2026-27 school term.
During the meeting, board members discussed the policy of naming of new facilities. The current board policy states the person must be deceased in order to name a facility after him or her. Dr. McAdoo said the discussion will be on next month’s agenda as well.
The board discussed the possibility of updating the system for online enrollment and approved Spring Break tutoring at both the high school and elementary school buildings.
The board was also given an update on the district’s building projects by Garrett Goldsby.
