Has it come to this?

With gun violence already rampant in our country, now if someone doesn’t like the things you say or how you present them it’s an invitation to get shot?

People are scared.

Folks are getting shot simply going to the grocery store, to school or attending a concert or a political rally, riding the subway or even at church.

It’s got to stop.

Why worry about China, Russia or North Korea. It’s our own people who are taking out every day citizens.

Now schools must have school resource officers to protect students at taxpayer’s expense.

Schools are spending mega bucks on security systems and are having to keep their doors locked to keep would-be intruders from gaining entry.

A disgruntled former employee of Southwest Airlines shot and killed Mike Winchester in 2016 simply because he was mad he got fired.

The list goes on and on.

Mentally ill people don’t need to have a weapon in their hands.

Same with people on drugs. But how do you keep those folks from having weapons?

I certainly don’t have the answer but the more we work collectively together, the better off we all will be.

Personally, I’d never heard the name Charlie Kirk before last week.

Never listened to one word of his. Never knew he existed. But now I know about him and now his young family is destroyed.

Just because he believed things differently than his assassin.

How sad.

Are rival fans of athletic teams going to follow suit?

I certainly hope not but it’s just about that asinine for shooting someone with a different political viewpoint as you.

Same for religion, too.
