Speaking of Gracie...my better half has been suggesting I get a hearing test for quite some time.
I had put it off for quite a while but decided to take her advice to get a check on the old eardrums.
Sure enough Gracie was right. I do, in fact, have some hearing loss and am now the proud owner of a pair of hearing aids.
Getting old is not for sissies and not a lot of fun at the same time.

That was an awesome 24 hours of rain we received Sunday night and most all day on Monday.
It pinned a hardship on spring sports and led to numerous auto accidents on I-35.
But, according to McClain County Sheriff Landy Offolter, none of the mostly one-vehicle crashes involved injuries.
Simply folks driving too fast in inclement weather conditions.
We definitely needed the moisture since we are still technically in a drought.
Too bad our neighbors to the west and northwest portions of the state didn’t get the same drink of water.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ukrainian people and those having to fight in Putin’s war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had some very sobering news this week.
He told the U.N. Security Council “the massacre in our city of Bucha is only one of many examples of what Russia has been doing on our land for the past 41 days.”
It’s sickening and heartbreaking.
