Gala 2021

Raising funds for Hope Center

Posted

Hope Center Ministries will host Gala 2021 next week at the McClain County Farm & Home Building in Purcell.

The gala on October 21 will raise funds for  the Hope Center, a Christ-centered recovery program for women.

The Center is located south of Goldsby.

Tickets are $55 and may be purchased online at www.hopecm.com.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

In addition to food and fellowship, the event will include testimonies and an auction.

According to the website, the Hope Center’s residential recovery program consists of three phases over a minimum of eight months.

Phase 1 consists of intense classroom time, which provides an opportunity for Bible study and regular counseling, as well as a wide Bible-based curriculum.

In Phase 2, residents learn the responsibility of working a full day as part of their recovery. There are morning and afternoon meetings and Bible study during which the women learn life and job skills and a “strong work ethic as instructed in the Bible.”

Residents moved into an extended living setting  in Phase 3. They earn money for full time work and keep the wages earned to help get a new start in life. They are introduced back into society while maintaining recovery. They are required to attend Celebrate Recovery meetings, family support groups and two church services weekly.

For information on the gala, call Monica at 405-255-1288 or Amanda at 405-434-8861.
