Private family services will be held for Frank Meigs Jr., 68, of Purcell. Services will be under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mr. Meigs passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
He was born April 14, 1953 in Oklahoma City, one of four children and the only son born to Frank Meigs and Velma (Bonaham) Meigs. He was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools.
He married Rebecca Faye Hall on January 18, 1971 in Gainesville, Texas. Together they raised three children, daughter, Melanie and sons, David and Eric.
Frank drove a truck for many years, and logged countless miles driving cross country. He was proud of his Native heritage and the Choctaw Nation. He enjoyed watching sports, was a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed a cold beer. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Meigs.
Frank is survived by his mother, Velma Meigs of Harrah; his wife, Rebecca of the home; daughter, Melanie Van Nostrand of Norman; his boys, David Meigs and wife, Leslie, of Dibble and Eric Meigs and wife, Jenny, of Purcell; three sisters, Carolyn Meigs of Purcell, Evelyn Idlett and husband, Dean, of Pauls Valley and Alice Gregory and husband, Gene, of Harrah; eight grandchildren, Nichole, Brad, Chloe, Sierra, Dakota, Kiernan, Luke and Kade and a host of other family and friends.
