When you are out and about driving take notice of the color of the yards around your town.
It looks more like it’s May than August.
In many areas it’s as green as Ireland and it’s the last week in August.
Pretty amazing.

They say bad things come in threes so we’re just waiting for the other shoe to fall at our house.
Friday night Gracie went out into the garage to find part of it flooded.
Fortunately we got a plumber out lickety-split and got the water turned off and the problem fixed.
However, it wasn’t before a bunch of things soaked up the wayward water.
It gave Gracie and me a fun little project to tackle when we got up Saturday morning.
After that teamwork project we thought things had settled down.
But, not so fast.
Sunday afternoon when the heat index was over 100 our air conditioner went on the blink.
Fortunately, a technician was able to get it back up and running in a little over an hour.
It took awhile, but the A/C unit finally got things back down to bearable.

We’re in the process of getting a new roof on our business downtown.
It’s been a long time coming, not to mention we also need new awnings.
If it’s not one thing it’s another.
