After going 21 days without a drop of moisture, Purcell got a double scoop of rainfall Sunday when 2.7” was recorded here.
Washington recorded 1.85” while Byars received .49”.
That brings the year-to-date total for Purcell to 36.7” compared to 25.36” for Oklahoma City. Normal for this date is 28.32”.
The annual rainfall for this area is 36.52”.
The rain followed a cool front that dropped temperatures into the low 60s overnight Sunday into Monday morning.
The high on Monday was in the low 70s.
High temperatures for the remainder of the week were in the low to mid-80s.
