Final stretch for Wayne

On Monday, head coach Charles Durrence and his Lady Bulldogs were in Roff. In a hard-fought game with the Class A number 1 team, Wayne fell 6-5.

Holding a lead through five and a half innings, Roff tied it up in the bottom of the fifth on a solo homerun. 

The two teams were knotted at five-all until the bottom of the 7th when a Lady Tiger singled to push the winning run across the plate.

The Lady Bulldogs has 10 hits and five RBIs in the loss.

Allie Walck, Kaylee Madden and Daliyah Fuentes all had multiple hits. Fuentes also had two RBIs.

Shyleigh Mantooth was in the circle for Wayne. She gave up six runs on 12 hits.

Vanoss Tournament

Wayne kicked off the Vanoss tournament against ECP. The Lady Bulldogs got a 12-4 win thanks to 20 hits and 12 ribbies.

Madden and Fuentes led the team at the plate with a combined seven hits and eight RBIs.

Next up, Wayne notched a 14-4 win over Stratford. 

Again, the Lady Bulldogs’ bats were hot with 16 hits and 14 RBIs.

Madden led the team with three hits in the win, including a triple in the second and homerun in the third.

In their third game of the tournament, Wayne fell to Tushka, 12-2.

The Lady Bulldogs combined for just five hits and two RBIs.

In their final game of the tournament, Wayne fell to Vanoss, 22-16.

Despite 20 hits, including three homeruns, Wayne was unable to hold off the ??. 

Madden and Fuentes were the hot bats, with five RBIs each.

Ninnekah

Last Tuesday, Wayne hosted Ninnekah for a double header. 

Wayne was the winner in both games, 14-4 and 22-3.

Faith Brazell was en fuego for Wayne. She had four hits, including a homer, in the first game and five RBIs in the second game.

Kamryn Moss also had a dinger in game one. 

Walck and Moss had three hits each in game two.

The Lady Bulldogs are 21-12. They were scheduled to be in Empire on Tuesday and hosting Holdenville and Davis on Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs will be in Tushka on Thursday, April 22 for Districts. They face Vanoss in game one at 1 p.m.
