Eulala Anne Sansom

Eulala Anne Sansom of Madill passed away December 17, 2020 in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years.

Eulala Anne Eddlemon was born July 28, 1942 in Rosedale, Oklahoma, to Ulric Eddlemon and Jewel (Richardson) Eddlemon. She was raised in the Rosedale area, attended school there, and went on to graduate from Wayne High School.

Later she moved to Hobbs, New Mexico where she met the love of her life Stan Sansom. They were married there in July 1967. Their life together brought them to Browns Mills, New Jersey; Moore, Oklahoma; and Wayne, Oklahoma.

She worked as a Caregiver and was a member of Rosedale First Baptist Church. In 1986 they moved to the Paoli area; until moving on to Madill on October 1, 2020.

She enjoyed many types of games from bingo, iPad games, to playing along with TV game shows including her favorite, “Wheel of Fortune.” Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandson.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Choc Eddlemon, Brass Eddlemon and Bill Eddlemon; sisters, Jerry Atkerson, Barbara McBride, Nancy Linker and Doris “Teenie” Lang and sister-in-law, Charlotte Tafoya.

She is survived by her husband of over 53 years, Stan Sansom of the home; three daughters and their husbands, Melissa and Ben Colvin of Ponca City, Michelle and Nick Morrison of Kingston and Jennifer and Mike Mullikin of Maple Grove, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Jake Bowen and wife, Macy, Josh Colvin, Spencer Tinnin, and twins, Lilly Mullikin and Madison Mullikin; one great-grandson, Jace Bowen and one more blessing on the way; one brother, Paul Eddlemon and wife, Margaret, of Kingsbury, Texas; brothers-in-law, Doyle Sansom of Las Vegas, Nevada, Harold Simpson and wife, Nancy, of San Diego, California, and Virgil McBride of Ponca City; one sister-in-law, Jane Eddlemon of Talihina; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Rosedale Cemetery in Rosedale, officiated by the Rev. Russell Newville. Interment was at the Rosedale Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
