Edwards cancels jury term

McClain County District Judge Leah Edwards has cancelled the McClain County jury term that was set to begin August 17.

Judge Edwards said the cancellation was due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All potential jurors who received a summons for the August 17 date are authorized to disregard the summons.

“The court is continually working to balance the rights of defendants to receive a speedy trial with the health and safety of the public,” Judge Edwards said.
