Early voting for midterms

Open to all voters starting November 2

Posted

Early voting for the November 8 general election will begin November 2, McClain County Election Board Secretary Karen Haley said.

Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day have the option of voting early at the McClain County Farm&Home Building 1721 Hardcastle Blvd., in Purcell.

Early voting is an option open to all voters.

“You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted through the State Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections,” Haley said. “This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines.”

Early voting is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. November 2-4 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. November 5.

Haley reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling locations.

The McClain County Election Board is located in the McClain County Courthouse and is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
