Donna Lynn Smith died September 4, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 69 years 4 months. A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Lexington Senior Citizens Building, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service. Donna was born May 4, 1952 in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Delbert Donald and Edna Mae (Rousey) Brannon. She was raised and attended school in Purcell, attending her last year at Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City.

On April 21, 1969, Donna married Leo Smith in Oklahoma City. They made their home in Lexington. Donna enjoyed baking and crafts, often attending craft shows. Donna had the gift of seeing items and then making them without any instructions. She had a green thumb and enjoyed taking care of her flowers and plants.

Donna loved spending time with her family, and was very involved in their school activities. She often times worked the concession stand at games, helped with bake sales and the PTA.

Before Donna couldn’t get around well, she attended First Baptist Church of Lexington.  She loved her little yorkie, Daisy, and her famous saying was “make sure you say your prayers” which she told her children and grandchildren every night. 

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Mae Rousey; her father, Delbert Brannon; her brother-in-law, Smoky Hondolero; and her close nephew, Michael Wayne Saumty. 

Donna is survived by her husband of 52 years, Leo Smith of the home; her daughters, Jeanie Hall and husband, John, of Noble and Yolonda Smith of Lexington; her son, Randy Smith of Lexington; her five grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Breanna Smith, McKenzie Smith, Kylie Smith and Able Smith, all of Lexington; her brother, Donald Delbert Brannon Jr. and wife, Vickie, of Oklahoma City; her brother-in-law, Larry Smith and wife, Pam, of Oklahoma City; her sister-in-law, Jan Hondolero of Oklahoma City; her yorkie, Daisy;  and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
