Posted

Donald Mack Gillham of Maysville was born on March 20, 1938 in Story, Oklahoma, to Andrew Mack Gillham and Marie Lenore (Morphew) Gillham. He passed away at the age of 83 years on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Donald Mack was a lifetime resident of Maysville, graduating from Maysville High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Wilma Mayfield, on February 22, 1957 in Gainesville, Texas.

Donald Mack began farming and ranching as a young boy, a career he had his whole life. He later brought both sons into the same career.

He was a dedicated family man. Donald Mack was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The day he was saved he had been reading the book of Romans in the Bible, he was plowing cotton in the field and he climbed off of his tractor and gave his heart to Jesus Christ and truly lived his life for Christ.

Donald Mack was very committed to the fact that young families need to realize that what they do with their life today, will determine where their children spend eternity. He will be dearly missed by his family, church family, and friends.

His survivors include his wife of 64 years, Wilma of the home; sons, Keith Gillham and wife, Becky, of Hinton and Kerry Gillham and wife, Leigh, of Maysville; daughter, Karla Kehl and husband, Marvin, of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Brock Gillham (Katrina), Nicole Frederick (Scott), Madison Russ (Ryan), Mackenzie Deviney (Zane), Ashley Nichols (Chris), and Lauren Kelley (Todd); great-grandchildren, Abby, Rylan, Bowen, Kopelyn, Reagan, Rhettson, Ezra, Rylie, Raider and Baylor.

Donald Mack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Wayne Gillham; sister, Mary Jeanine Bratcher; and great-grandson, Gideon.
