Dierking 5-hits CHA for victory

Plus, has double and triple on offense

Sophomore Drew Dierking tossed a five hitter in Lexington’s 7-3 victory over Christian Heritage Academy March 8.

Dierking struck out 10 and was the standout on offense spanking a double and a triple. He finished with two RBIs and scored a run.

Jacob Turnpaugh was 2-4 with an RBI.

Coach Jarod Ennis also got hits from Zeke Faulkenberry, Skylar Rollins and Dax Beason. Rollins had an RBI in the victory.

Last Friday the Bulldogs came up on the short end of an 11-1 contest with Sulphur and an 11-3 game with Bridge Creek.

Skylar Rollins was the big stick for the ‘Dawgs in both games. He was 2-2 with a run scored against Sulphur.

In the Bridge Creek loss, Rollins went 2-3 with an RBI.

Ezra Faulkenberry got a hit against Sulphur.

Ennis got hits from Dierking, Turnpaugh and Tanner Brock in the Bridge Creek game.

Lexington was scheduled to host Little Axe on Monday but were rained out. They were scheduled to travel to the Indians’ field on Tuesday.

They are ticketed to play in the Ampo Tournament Thursday and Friday before returning home next Monday to host Purcell.

They are scheduled to play at Purcell next Tuesday.
