The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a 20-year-old Wayne man was killed in a one vehicle accident in Payne June 17.

The OHP said Jason Layne Hoskins died when his 2019 Chevrolet Trax veered off the roadway striking a fence and overturning one complete time coming to rest on its passenger side.

Investigating Trooper Cummings said the accident occurrevd between midnight and 7:45 a.m. on 120th Street 150 feet east of Eastern Avenue.

Hoskins sustained injuries both internal and external to his trunk, Cummings said.

Assisting Cummings of the Cleveland/McClain County detachment of Troop A were LT Gottschalk, Trooper Davis of the Oklahoma County detachment of Troop A, as well as the McClain County Sheriff’s Office, Wadley’s EMS and the Payne Fire Department.

The accident remains under investigation.
