Darrell Richard Morgan passed away peacefully in his home in Lexington, Oklahoma, on October 21, 2021. He was born on March 6, 1949 in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Elvin Richard Morgan and Alma Emogene Clark.

Darrell was a longtime resident of Lexington, Oklahoma, where he was most well-known as the Caretaker of the Lexington Cemetery for almost 30 years.

Darrell was considered by those who knew him as someone who always had a smile, grateful and full of stories and jokes. He battled stage 4 cancer for over 3 years but he never let that get him down and looked forward to each day as it came. He loved to care for his land, raise animals, ride his bike and spend time with those he loved.

His full life will forever be cherished by his son, Derrell; daughter, Peggi; daughter-in-law, Becky; grandchildren, Zach, Robert, Carley, Trevor, Kaycee, Leah and Tanner; great-grandson, Stetson; sister, Terri; brother-in-law, Earl and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Margaret, and his sisters Janie, Patsy and Doris.

There will be a celebration of the life of Darrell at 3 p.m. on November 14, 2021 at the Lexington Cemetery.
