ORDINANCE NO. 26-04
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PURCELL, OKLAHOMA, AMENDING CHAPTER 22 (CEMETERIES) SECTIONS 22-3 (CEMETERY BOARD) AND 22-13 (TIME SCHEDULE); APPOINTING BOARD MEMBERS FOR CEMETERY BOARD; SETTING TERMS; AND REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND DECLARING REPEALER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PURCELL, OKLAHOMA:
SECTION I. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 22-3.
Hereinafter, Section 22-3 of Chapter 18 shall read in its entirety as follows:
Sec. 22-3 Cemetery Board
SECTION II. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 22-13.
Hereinafter, Section 22-13 of Chapter 18 shall read in its entirety as follows:
Sec. 22-13 Time Schedule.
Regular business hours for the Hillside Cemetery shall be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. An overtime fee shall be incurred for any service continuing past the hours stated in this section.
SECTION III. APPOINTMENT OF BOARD MEMBERS.
The City Council shall appoint three (3) individuals to be the Members of the Board of Cemetery Trustees for the City of Purcell, Oklahoma, who shall serve for staggered terms of three (3) years.
SECTION IV. SEVERABILITY.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Ordinance is, for any reason, held to be unconstitutional by any Court of competent jurisdiction, said portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTION V. REPEALER.
All former Ordinances or parts of Ordinances conflicting or inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
