It’s time to nominate someone as Purcell’s Citizen of the Year for 2024.

Accompanying the nominee’s name must be a statement why he or she deserves to be Citizen of the Year.

Nominations may be hand-delivered to The Purcell Register at 225 W. Main Street. They may also be emailed to montgomeryjohnd@yahoo.com.

Deadline to submit nominations is May 9.

The Citizen of the Year will be announced June 5 during the Heart of Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Banquet at the Mid-America Technology Center in Wayne.

Also to be announced at the banquet will be recipients of Business of the Year; Educator of the Year (Wayne, Lexington, and Purcell); Volunteer of the Year; and Government Person of the Year.
