The Purcell Police Department is proud to recognize Officer Josh Miller as the 2024 Officer of the Year.
Officer Miller has exemplified the highest standards of professionalism, dedication, and service to the City of Purcell.
During his patrol assignment, Officer Miller demonstrated exceptional leadership and proactive law enforcement efforts.
His diligence resulted in addressing 989 traffic violations, including 286 citations, 403 written warnings and 300 verbal warnings.
In addition to his focus on traffic safety, Officer Miller made 33 arrests, comprising 16 felony and 17 misdemeanor offenders, showcasing his unwavering commitment to public safety and justice.
Officer Miller’s commitment to professional growth has also been evident in his pursuit of advanced training. In August 2024, he successfully completed Field Training Officer School and subsequently trained his first officer at the Purcell Police Department, contributing to the development of the next generation of law enforcement professionals.
Throughout the year, Officer Miller has consistently demonstrated a positive attitude and unwavering adherence to the department’s motto: “A Commitment to Excellence.” His outstanding achievements bring great credit to himself, the Purcell Police Department, and the community he serves.
Congratulations, Officer Miller, on this well-deserved recognition and for setting an exemplary standard for your peers.
