Chasity Kay Simmons died March 1, 2023, in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 37 years 11 months 7 days. Funeral services were held Monday, March 6, 2023, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Chasity was born March 25, 1985, in Hearne, Texas, to Martha (Simmons) and Verdon Jones. She was raised and attended school in Wayne.
Chasity was a member of the Church of the First Born and baptized into the faith on February 25, 2001, by her uncle, Brother Danny Skinner. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially crocheting and beading. Chasity loved spending time with her family, eating or just visiting.
Chasity is preceded in death by grandparents, Earl and Mary Luceal Skinner; her aunts and uncles, Danny and Barbara Skinner, Doris and Monroe Harris, Nora Belle Simmons, Sharon Rosengarten and Mary Simmons and numerous cousins.
Survivors include her mother, Martha Jones of Wayne; her daughters, Haylie Simmons of Lexington and Ashley Hayles of Wanette; her siblings, Gracie Lee and husband, Mike, of Wayne and their children, Abigail and Andrew; Shane Simmons of Norman and his children, Conner, Kylie and Karissa; her aunts and uncles, Rhonda Fulton and husband, Gregg, of Texas, Rene Ivey of Purcell and Earl Simmons of Lexington; and numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.
