Funeral services for Charles Jefferson Thomas, 84, of Lexington, formerly of Maysville, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2021 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel in Maysville with Bro. Johnny Tyler officiating. Interment will be at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin under the direction of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville.
Mr. Thomas died Feb. 20, 2021 in Lexington.
He was born Sept. 22, 1936 in Shelbyville, Ill., the son of Elbert J. and Geniva (Agney) Thomas.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Naomi of Lexington; sons, Tony Thomas of Noble and Danny Thomas and wife, Kathy, of Noble; daughters, Janet Thomas of Ada and Teresa Thomas of Wynnewood; brothers, Bobby Thomas of Shelbyville, Ill., Elbert Thomas and wife, Joy, of Tennessee, and Jackey Thomas and wife, Gay, of Illinois; sisters, Barbara Thomas of Shelbyville, Ill., and Carol Abbott of Matoon, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
