In Loving Memory of Chad Carl Isenberg
February 18, 1972– January 17, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chad Carl Isenberg, a loving husband and father. He was an unassuming yet extraordinary man who touched countless lives through his bold, thoughtful actions. He had great compassion and concern for others, and loved helping others in any way he could. Chad passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at the age of 52, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humility, and unwavering love.
Born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Chad “came out of the womb with his tennis shoes on,” as his Mom would often tell his wife. A man of relentless determination, Chad believed in the power of action and approached every challenge with enthusiastic resolve and an unmatched drive to get things done. Whether it was engaging in a work activity, tackling a project at home, teaching a fitness class, or volunteering his time to help others at church, Chad had a way of turning intentions into results, inspiring everyone around him to do the same.
Leading by example, his life’s work was not measured by accolades or headlines, but by the countless lives he impacted through small, meaningful gestures. Whether it was a kind word, a helping hand, or simply being present for someone in need, Chad had an incredible ability to make people feel seen, heard, and valued. He often prayed for people “on the spot,” and while his contributions might have seemed small, their impact was immeasurable.
Chad graduated from Purcell High School in 1990 before attending Eastern Oklahoma State Junior College in Wilburton then to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, consecutively on baseball scholarships. Eventually, he graduated from Rogers State University in Claremore, Okla., with a degree in Business Technology in 2010. His professional career, culminating in the IT Security field, began with a 17 year tenure at ConocoPhillips. In 2014, Chad began employment with Integris Health as an IT Security Analyst. His tenure included stints with HCI and Tech Mahindra, both contracting firms for Integris. Wherever he worked, he was the epitome of a servant leader.
Above all, Chad was a family man. He was the beloved husband of Malee Isenberg for almost 30 years. He admired and loved his wife with passionate devotion and dedication, and gave her much credit for deepening his faith. Together, they became parents to their daughter, Ellianna Isenberg, on May 29th, 2011 in Guiyang, China. He deeply loved being her father and spending time with her by going ice skating, taking her to baseball games, and daddy-daughter dates whenever possible.
He had multiple hobbies that he enjoyed very much, including cooking and baking, also teaching his daughter healthy and important cooking skills. He loved taking his dog for walks, going to Bible study with his friends, and going grocery shopping as a family. In the fall and in his spare time, he loved to watch college football and do woodworking in his garage. In the mornings he thoroughly enjoyed working out and teaching his fitness class in a manner that motivated his class. He also got great satisfaction out of being a handyman around the house.
Others Chad leaves behind include three siblings, Eric Todd Isenberg and his wife, Lori, Tereas Houghton and Angelia Brooks and her husband, Joe; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Carolee Maxwell; and brother-in-law, Brandon Maxwell.
Chad’s passing leaves a void in our hearts, but his life reminds us to find joy in small things, to be kind without expectation, and to leave the world a little better than we found it. His resilient faith in Christ, dedication to his family, and humble outreach also encouraged others to put emphasis on what should matter most in life—God and loved ones. Chad will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
In memory of Chad and support for his family, a friend was kind enough to create a GoFundMe page for donations.
A memorial service was held Friday, January 24, 2025 at Redemption Church, 117 W. Main Street, in Edmond, Okla.
