Purcell Firefighters found a front-end loader fully engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene Wednesday afternoon at 228289 SH 59.
Wayne Firefighters were called for mutual aid and the two departments were able to subdue the fire and put it out.
It was a busy day for area firefighters with Washington calling on Purcell for mutual aid fighting a grass fire.
Purcell Firefighters spent over three hours battling the blaze later that Wednesday afternoon and into the evening. They were given the all-clear to return to the station at 6:31 p.m.
Both Washington and Purcell units were assisting Payne Firefighters with the pesky blaze.
