Bulldogs head to Tulsa

Bi-District tournament with Metro Christian on Thursday

Posted

The Lexington Bulldogs will be hitting the road on Thursday headed for Tulsa to take on Metro Christian for the Bi-District tournament.

The Patriots have a 16-10 record.

“We will have to play within our game. We’ll have to play well and not allow things to snowball as they have during games throughout this season,” head coach Ryan Blaine said.

Games are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Monday night, Lexington dropped an 8-0 decision with Chickasha (26-5 in 4A). They were scheduled to play Washington on Tuesday.

“I set up the schedule so we would see tough teams at the end. Chickasha is good and when we scrimmaged them in the preseason we held it close with our ones still in,” Blaine said.

“I wanted the kids to see two better teams before the playoffs.”

Last week, Lexington picked up an 8-3 win over Holdenville on Tuesday but fell 8-3 to AmPo on Saturday.
