Bulldogs fall to Metro Christian

Season ends in Tulsa at the Bi-District tournament

Head coach Ryan Blaine and his Bulldogs were in Tulsa last Friday for the Bi-District tournament with Metro Christian.

Despite out-hitting the Patriots in both games, Lexington lost game one 7-6 thanks to a walk-off sacrifice fly. Then they lost game two 6-3 to end their season.

“Metro is a solid ball club all around. Those were two games that if we make one more play, we probably win both games. But, as with the rest of the season, we struggled knowing how to close out games,” Blaine said.

“Against good teams, you can’t do that.”

Lots to graduation are Payton Arnold and Ezra Faulkenberry.

“I really appreciated the seniors’ leadership this season. I’m proud of their efforts on and off the field and I think they did an excellent job of doing what I asked all season,” Blaine said.
