Brock Michael Williamson died August 28, 2024, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 24 years 2 months. Funeral services were held Monday, September 9, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Wanette, Oklahoma. Interment followed at the Wanette Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Brock was born June 28, 2000, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Edward and Tara (Stover) Williamson.
He was raised and attended school in Wanette until his junior year of high school, completing his junior and senior year at Asher High School. While in school, Brock played basketball and was proud to be a part of the Asher baseball program.
His time in Asher provided the opportunity to attend and graduate from Gordon Cooper Technology Aviation Maintenance Program, obtaining his Air Frame and Power Plant Maintenance License. He then began his career with Skywest Airlines at Will Rogers International Airport in Oklahoma City. After three years there, he accepted a position with United Airlines and moved to Denver, Colorado, where he lived for the final three years of his life.
Brock was raised in rural Pottawatomie County, where he enjoyed fishing, shooting, riding four-wheelers and playing video games. He was an avid snowboarder and loved spending time with his many cousins and friends. One of his favorite activities was hog hunting with his Pa-paw Mike Stover, who was a major influence in Brock’s life.
Brock loved to laugh, and he had an ornery streak. He was a loyal friend and defender who would stand up for what was right. Brock loved to travel and live his life up to an on the edge, experiencing all he could. Traveling to Ireland by himself to get a tattoo is one of many examples of his love for seeing the world and his independence.
Brock was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jim Williamson and his uncle, Dean Williamson.
Survivors include his parents, Edward and Tara Williamson; his maternal grandparents, Mike and Vicky Stover; his paternal grandmother, Ida Edwards; his uncle, James Williamson and wife, Mandy; his uncle, Clint Stover and wife, Katy; his aunt, Sara Dolan and husband, Matt; and many beloved cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles and friends who deeply loved and will sorely miss Brock.
