A bonus August rain netted Central Oklahoma .7” overnight and into Wednesday morning.
That brings the unofficial total for Purcell to 29.65” for the year.
In contrast, Oklahoma City has recorded 24.92”. The normal year-to-date total is 22.07”.
The heat dome is expected to return later this week.
